Another weird little bug that I sketched out, this time i mixed a rhinoceros beetle with a lady bug.

Reptilian Caterpillar

So here's another weird little bug I dreamt up. I sketched him out in marker. This fella is a reptilian caterpillar. As you can see he is unique by having an odd shaped reptile head and arms. while the back end is more of a worm. it has small spike-like protrusions along the segment of his body to help with climbing, & its skin is covered with scales. if you look at the back end, it has a small feather-like organ in the back which it uses for combing & spreading the silk it creates. Much like a slikworm it creates layesr of silk to fortify its home which is much like a funnel spiders home. Large corridors of silk in a cluster, where it can lay in wait & ambush its prey.

The Tree of Vision

BACKSTORY:This species, although appearing like a large globular tree, covered with flesh & orifices is a global killer. Wherever this species is encountered, it is found in abundance much like a weed, and all other organic life is absent. Rather than a plant, It is more like a super evolved, predatory tube worm. An animal with almost no cerebral capacity, but more of an instinct to eat & survive, much like that of a carnivorous plant, IE. the venus fly trap. The flesh-like bark, teeth and eyes, are all clever deceptions. After extensive research of the animal, we have found that the eyes of the creature are like a fruit. Beginning very small & white, but when fully ripened & ready to fall of the branch, it resembles a fully colored human eyeball. The Fruit of this tree is not nourishing however, but deadly. Extremely toxic & has a 100% mortality rate within 13 minutes. What sets this animal apart from others is that the fruit not only contains toxins, but also enzymes, which the plant uses to break down & liquify all organic matter of the organism which had consumed it. After death the carcass is turned into liquid & absorbed into the soil for nourishment, feeding the tree of vision. Like a tree, each of the eyeball-like fruit contains a seed, or in this case an egg. The organic matter that is broken down by the enzymes is also used to nourish & fertilize the egg for procreation. Recent in depth surveys of planets which these trees inhabit have shown some very strange an disturbing facts. The first is that when root excavation was attempted, we learned that the base of the roots were extremely hard to get to due to large calcium deposits ( presumably from their victims) that had encased the root bases. After much hard work & millions of dollars spent we learned that the entire root system of these organisms were connected proving the fact that it was one large organism that inhabited the planet, rather than several. One other disturbing fact is that primitive written documentation has been found on several planets where this organism inhabits, showing that all intelligent life had gone extinct when long term cohabitation is required. It is thought that these tree like animals were worshipped by primitive peoples & therefore caused their deaths by consumption. The strangest thing, was that all of the aboriginal scrolls & writings from all the different planets ( which were light years apart) were gathered up & compared. It was determined that all of the extinct tribes had referred to the organisms as " The Tree of Vision". This Phenomenon can not be explained, other than the fact, that the tree of vision, may be more intelligent than previously anticipated. Further research is required.

WARNING: Possession of this species is Punishable by death. The introduction of this life form, into any ecosystem could cause global extinction.

CR832-4 : AKA CHRIS

Another day, another drawing......this one was created in prismacolor markers, whata surprise!

Backstory: The CR832-4 is a general battle droid, created for quick maneuvering, & adaptive combat capabilities. Equipped with a high power plasma cannon, a limited hovering unit, & the strongest armor plating money can buy makes this model a formidable foe. However, this is no ordinary -4 model. The difference between this model & others of its kind is that during a recon mission on a foreign planet ( Unknown) an unidentified parasitic life form attached itself to the circuitry of the CR832-4. Typically any scanned foreign contaminant would trigger an automatic shutdown & quarantine alert in this battledroid, However the alien life form was able to override the droids programming & utilize all systems for its own use. The Droid stealthily infiltrated the transport vessel back to earth, eliminated all crew members & erased all records of the mission after sneaking back onto base, not to mention causing a class 1 thermonuclear explosion. The only item left unmarred by the massacre was a single computer terminal found 100 miles outside of the blast radius. The info retrieved was a warning not to follow, & was signed by a single name in all caps, CHRIS.

WARNING: This fugitive is considered extremely dangerous, do not try to apprehend. Appearance is identical to an ordinary CR832-4 battledroid, except for a moss-like fungus spreading from underneath the armor plating. If you have any information of the whereabouts of this fugitive, please contact the proper authorities.

Its Been Awhile!

Its been a long time since I've posted anything & seeing as I'm going at the art full time now, I figured I oughta get this thing goin again! I've been working very hard at changing up my style & expanding into new areas. Started painting & focusing on more realistic art versus the cartooney stuff. However I still have a ton of stuff I haven't posted previously so, I'll mix it up for ya! Sooooo, here's a sketch I did using prisma color markers!

HK 330x52 LUX

Just another day at the robot recycling plant. The HK 330x52 LUX model Is mainly for show, However functional, Its heavy duty plating has been replaced with antiqued plating, adorned with detailed scrollwork. The piping & fittings have been changed to brass & gold to reflect its owners wealth. Originally meant for interpretation & menial tasks , such as gardening, it was definitely not meant for acts of aggression, or home defense. As you can see a vacuum hose is attached to the torso of the robot, in order to remove the remaining fluids, in preparation for the chop down, which is going to remove any salvageable parts, especially the antiqued pieces, and return them to the owner. At least thats the way it should be, however, many "Bargain" recycling centers, will replace the expensive parts with clever duplicates for return to the owner & would sell the real parts on the black market.
