Heres a bonus one I did for shark week, just one of my weird sketches I scanned & threw into photoshop to give it some color.

Echidna - The Mother Of All Monsters

Did this one for a contest on deviant art, actually did a few different designs. The design challenge is called mythical creatures. Throughout many cultures, the half woman/serpent creature as been around, so I decided to go the Greek Mythology route.

"the goddess fierce Echidna who is half a nymph with glancing eyes and fair cheeks, and half again a huge snake, great and awful, with speckled skin, eating raw flesh beneath the secret parts of the holy earth. And there she has a cave deep down under a hollow rock far from the deathless gods and mortal men. There, then, did the gods appoint her a glorious house to dwell in: and she keeps guard in Arima beneath the earth, grim Echidna, a nymph who dies not nor grows old all her days."

In Greek mythology her name was Echidna & she gave birth to the most hideous creatures in greek mythology such as Cerberus , the guardian of the gates of hades , the Chimera & the Hydra . I decided to make my version of Echidna sweet & sultry looking because of the fact that she is a nymph & lures her victims into her cave where she devours them!

Little Mo

A little monster for you. Did this guy on 8.5x11 gray card stock. Used pencil ( 4h, hb, f, 2b, 6b) white & pink prismacolor pencil & gel pen. I like him because he's cute & fat, but his face is still creepy.

Weird Rabbit

Here's a weird lookin rabbit I did with copic markers & a white prisma pencil for highlights. Done on 9x12 50lb paper. Was going to make him a cave-rabbit & have him dragging a female rabbit who's been knocked out, but I new that I wasn't going to have the room on the page.

Grave Digger

Another warm up sketch created in copic markers, I actually just did this to try out copics abs system....if you don't know, its an attachment, that connects to a compressor, & you can plug in different copic markers & it acts as a (although limited) makeshift airbrush. It works ok for making soft background stuff, but thats about it. Anyway, I don't really admire this piece much...only like the pants...Happy Friday!!!

Bats in watercolor

here's another cute yet creepy version of batman, however I chose to do this guy in watercolor. As i was saying yesterday that I am trying to take a break from the photoshop drawings buy doing some marker stuff, as well as watercolor. I have a few of those that need to be scanned and posted as well as additional marker sketches. This one was created with doc martins watercolors on 9x12 watercolor paper. Sorry about the scan, my scanner kind of sucks right now. Happy Friday!!!!

Another Deer Concept

Another deer concept drawing, this time its a male. I have no idea what that red thing is in the back, I just wanted a splash of color back there.......8x10 - photoshop.

Catch of the day

I had this idea in my head of a creature that was genetically created and bred to eradicate any rodent problems in a very short time.

 In the future as humans discover and annex new planets a great number were infested by pests.... some were indigenous & some brought over by colonist in early stages. In any event these pests have upset the balance of nature and a solution was created. Using the DNA of cats for their prowess & ability to be tamed, as well as the DNA of rabbits for their speed & breeding capabilities. Only a few of these creatures needed to be introduced & they would quickly outnumber any rodent in a matter of weeks. The entire population of  genetically enhanced subjects would be exterminated via internal implants once the rodent problem is solved.

  There was an incideent on one such planet, approximately three light years from our own galaxy ,where the species had been introduced and left unchecked. Once earth had lost communication with the colonists they sent out a search party to find nothing but corpses. According to colonist records the organisms had evolved at an alarming rate, both in appearance & brain capacity. Somehow do they figured out how to neutralize the termination implants. The species then overran  the planet ,  quickly depleting  the various food sources. Once this happened they turned on the colonist & Spread like a plague. The military would've sent a sweep crew in to eradicate the problem, but after further review of the colonists findings, it had turned out the planets ore supplies were surprisingly lower than previously thought. The operation was cancelled and deemed a waste of military resources. The species was then reengineered to limit the breeding capabilities in females. For centuries this planet was unchecked, and once surveilled by satellites it confirmed that the species left on the planet had evolved into the image you see before you. A more advanced, yet still primitive culture, starved from lack of food. It was further concluded that the creatures must have turned to cannibalism to survive. All probes sent down to the planet were lost.  This species is thought to be extremely hostile. Intelligence unknown.

weird little ewok

I like drawing ewoks, I have a tendecy to be drawn toward things that radiate innocence, but are inherently evil & dangerous. I mean if you think about it, all ewoks really are is aborigines. They hunt & gather, cook they're prey alive on a spit....I think this one came out a little too cute, so I'm obviously going to do another one a little meaner! digital paint, 8x10 photoshop 7.

Crabby

What do you get when you cross a rhino with a crab? well here's my rendition, 8x10 photoshop warm up that i tried to flesh out, but doesn't seem to tie in well together.
