Haven't posted one of these in a bit. Here is another of my contemporary pinups puzzle jam cards.this is an oversized collaboration sketch card by me and another artist. I did the bunny on the right & Steve Lyduc did the one on the left. These oversized cards were then cut by the distributer & inserted into the same pack. Created with copic markers.

Thought I would take a break from posting official set work to post some of my personal sketch card work that I did for a recent commission. These 10 cards were created using copic markers & watercolors, as well as some acrylic paint for highlights. The client requested the characters be loosely based off of the show batman : brave & the bold. I think my favorites are aquaman & black canary. I don't often use watercolors because it takes a lot longer, but I love the cloudy transitions created by the wet on wet application, as well as the vivid saturation of the pigments.

This cute & creepy style was requested by the client which is fun to do, sometimes its good to take a break & mix up the styles... Keeps everything from becoming stagnant.

Shane sketch cards for The Walking Dead The Comic trading card set

Here's a couple of sketch cards that I did for The a Walking Dead The Comic Trading card set of Shane. One is of him getting shot, the other is when Rick returned to put him out of his misery, when he found out that everyone turns regardless of being bit.

I really loved Shane's role in the comics much more than the show... Even though it was shorter... I won't ruin it for you, but the incidents with Shane in the comics added a huge amount of weight to the story early on. Without having to listen to him whine & moan about lorie for half a season, as well as continually ruining things for the whole group... Basically you achieved pretty much the same ideas and contempt for Shane in the comic as you did in the show, but in much less time.. But there were also added incidents that defined carl as a character. So to sum it up... Screw Shane... Lol.

Anyway... Enough ranting, this was done in copic markers and acrylic inks.

I have to something different today or im going shoot myself" so i decided to do some cartoon versions of a few of the characters from the comic. Honest Abe Lincoln sketch card art for the Civil War Chronicles trading card set

Here are my last civil war sketch cards for "The Civil War Chronicles" trading card set. This is a two piece puzzle card of Abraham Lincoln. Created with copics, watercolor, and some acrylic. I first airbrushed a few layers of a custom made yellowish brown color as the base, and drew on top of that. I then added the splatters but masked the main figure.
