I think This is my Favorite shark week sketch That I did last week. 8x10 Sketch & digital Color. I should have made the water a little lighter toward the top of the pic, but again, didn't put too much time into these.

Shark week is over, but not forgotten!

Well, shark week is over, but not forgotten. As I said before, I've drawn a shark sketch for every day of shark week, I've already posted 2 of them, so I will be posting 3 more, plus one bonus one. Today's sketch was an ink drawing that I colored in photoshop. Its a juvenile whale shark being ridden by a race of underwater creatures. take it easy!!!

Man Shark

Another shark week sketch.....I know this isn't a traditional sketch of a shark, but that's no fun. Don't get me wrong, I totally appreciate realism, but its more fun for me to draw an image that you can't readily google & see a beautiful photo of. I had an idea where sharks were the dominant species of a planet & had evolved into a semi-land animal. They had gained the use of Limbs, however under developed.

I have to apologize for the lack of polish on this one, I only had 10 minutes this morning before hurrying off to work, to shade & loosely color this sketch in photoshop. Then size it & save it, blah, blah, blah. I'm going to clean this one up & try to post it with tomorrows shark week sketch.

HOORAY For Shark Week!!!!

Well its that time again, shark week is among us.....So I know I'm a few days late, but I'm going to do a week of shark drawings!This one I sketched out first & then did a quick coloring in photoshop. I always love drawing creatures that are monstrous in comparison to the ones we know today, I imagine a great beast that have been locked away at the depths of the ocean only seen by those it engulfs.... TGIAF ( Thank goodness its almost friday!)

Twil'ek Sketch

Here's cutesy little twil'ek jedi that I drew using copic markers on 80lb sketch paper. 8.5x11. uuuuhhhhmmm yeah, not much else to say about it. kind of screwed up with coloring her, was testing out colors & went too dark initially so spent most of my time fixing it...just a sketch anyway, Happy Friday!

What Can I say? H.P. Lovecraft was a literary genius & changed the course if sci-fi & horror as we know it today. Every time I read his works, I leave with a renewed sense of inspiration & wonder. This is my tribute shirt to him & the Cult of Cthulhu mythos. I hope you like it.

Echidna - The Mother Of All Monsters

Did this one for a contest on deviant art, actually did a few different designs. The design challenge is called mythical creatures. Throughout many cultures, the half woman/serpent creature as been around, so I decided to go the Greek Mythology route.

"the goddess fierce Echidna who is half a nymph with glancing eyes and fair cheeks, and half again a huge snake, great and awful, with speckled skin, eating raw flesh beneath the secret parts of the holy earth. And there she has a cave deep down under a hollow rock far from the deathless gods and mortal men. There, then, did the gods appoint her a glorious house to dwell in: and she keeps guard in Arima beneath the earth, grim Echidna, a nymph who dies not nor grows old all her days."

In Greek mythology her name was Echidna & she gave birth to the most hideous creatures in greek mythology such as Cerberus , the guardian of the gates of hades , the Chimera & the Hydra . I decided to make my version of Echidna sweet & sultry looking because of the fact that she is a nymph & lures her victims into her cave where she devours them!

Calavera Disney Logo

So I met this person who works at a disney store at geeky mammas the other day & they were interested in my art, which is why my recent disney stuff. So I decided to do a day of the dead/sugar skull inspired mickey logo. I did a few versions, one with webs, one without webs, color, black & white....so I submitted my favorite one.

Totally freakin weird, I know. Don't really know what I was inspired by when I did this, but hey, bein weird is cool! Done with copic markers on 80.lb sketch paper.

A cute captain america for the 4th. Done with copic & prismacolors, on 9x12 50lb paper. Used all greys for this one, to give it that vintage look instead of the saturated colors. Cool greys, warm greys, & neutral greys only.

Elenoque'she - The Demon Of Babylon

Otherwise known to his followers as the Chattering Lord. Worshipped by ancient sumerian tribes, This demon was a master manipulator. Coming to you in your dreams & showing you all of the wonderful things you could ever want in life. Those visited by him would note his presence by a strange hypnotic clicking sound in the background of your nocturnal splendor, and this sound was determined by his followers to be his rows of teeth chattering as he whispered in your ears.

These Heavenly dreams would enthrall his victims so much so that they only wished to sleep, slowly neglecting their health, appearance & earthly life. The end Result of these dreams would be the untimely demise of each and everyone of these poor souls, shortly after they had gone completely mad. These gaunt & zombielike victims would engage in unconscious acts of savagery & cannibalism before being restrained & sedated, at which point they're deteriorating health would claim their lives. The only glimpses into their strange mental dilapidation would be gathered through various mumbles & chattering from the afflicted, " IT'S EATING ME!!!", "Get away", & " NO!" were commonly heard amongst the screams of terror.

It is hypothesized that these lucid & wonderful dreams would slowly transform themselves into terror filled escapades of which there was no escape. Eventually the affect on ones subconscious would be too much to bear.
