"Axel" artwork for The Walking Dead Comic Book Trading Card Set

Danny Here, Fans of the show would know axel as the skinny ginger dude with a big mustache who's short lived career on the walking dead show was almost pointless. In the comic book however, he was a fat, balding and bearded biker dude who also was one of the prisoners who greeted the gang upon their arrival at the prison. He was with the group much longer and played a larger part. Anyway, heres one of my sketch cards of him for the walking dead set!

So, I figured what the hell, lets break up the monotony of all this walking dead sketch card business WITH MORE WALKING DEAD!

This is a (image coics)Walking Dead #109 comic book Blank variant sketch cover of Sophia (after she has turned into a walker) from the hit AMC television show The Walking Dead, By robert kirkman and skybound industries. Done in markers & colored pencils by me, obviously. This puppy is off to be signed by the young actress who plays sophia on the show. I think that there are some finishing touches that need to be done, but I ran out of time and will finish it up, once its signed.

If you didn't know what a blank variant is, its a limited run comic book printed with a blank untreated cover, which allows an artist to put some original work on your very own comic book.

I really enjoyed drawing larger than a 2.5 x3.5 inch card...takes roughly the same time for me, but I like to be able to have room to squeeze in the subtle details, that you cant do as well on a sketch card.

Hello all, This is the set I've been waiting to show, but since I signed a confidentiality agreement, I was not allowed to show or talk about my work on the set. Since the company previewed one of my cards on their site I'm now allowed to show that same card as well. I'm doing 80+ cards for Robert Kirkmans " The Walking Dead the comic Book 2" being handled & distributed by Cryptozoic Ent. & Skybound .

This was a super fun set to work on. There is no release date as of yet, but I will be able to show more work within 30 days of its release. Here is one of My "Glenn" Cards.

You can see my card, along with a list of other artists card samples on the Cryptozoic website. There are new artists being added all the time so you will se many different styles.

I also did some progression pieces that I will be able to post once I'm allowed to show more.
