Silver Banshee & Starfire for DC Comics "women of Legend" trading card set.

Another couple of sketch cards that I illustrated for the a Women of Legend trading card set by cryptozoic & DC Comics.

The first card is one of five of my Artist Proof cards that is sold , of the silver banshee.

The second is Starfire.

The first sketch Card artwork was rendered in copic markers & colored pencils & the second was rendered with copic markers alone.

Both are 2.5 x3.5 inches.

The Collector

Pencil sketch, 8x10 80.lb paper. also used a couple of prismacolor pencils. I started off with a cartoon like character but thats not my style so I had to add a little creepy in there by having him collecting human skulls & giving him some sharp chompers!

Third Eye

A demonic looking fellow, just felt like drawing something grim, with a hint of a tattoo style. Used pencils & a couple of prismacolor pencils for highlights. Happy Friday!

Here's a weird one for ya! just wanted to do something dark & different. done with several pencils & some prismacolor pencils for highlights & such, also a white gel pen.

The Butcher

Cap

A cute captain america for the 4th. Done with copic & prismacolors, on 9x12 50lb paper. Used all greys for this one, to give it that vintage look instead of the saturated colors. Cool greys, warm greys, & neutral greys only.

Little Mo

A little monster for you. Did this guy on 8.5x11 gray card stock. Used pencil ( 4h, hb, f, 2b, 6b) white & pink prismacolor pencil & gel pen. I like him because he's cute & fat, but his face is still creepy.

Valkyrie in Marker

This is a valkyrie. For those of you who don't know, they were like warrior angels in norse mythology. It was believed that those who died gloriously in battle were selected by these shield maidens to be granted admission into Valhalla, which was the equivalent of heaven to any norseman. A place where you would eat, drink & fight for eternity.I used to do a lot of my work in marker & forgot how fun they are to use, I've somewhat lost my edge using them, so I've decided to practice again. I'll be posting a few of those drawings when completed to break up the monotony of the photoshop paintings. Actually I'll probably go back to them at a later date & see what I can do with them in photoshop as well, at least this way I can get the basic tones down so its less work in Ps. I did this drawing with the grey toned prismacolor markers & a brush pen.
