Supergirl sketch card process pics

ok...if you guys looked at any of my other posts you basically get the idea, so I'll keep the explanation short.

1) pencils

2) Pre-inks

3)skin tones in watercolor

4)blue's in her suit, done in watercolor.

5)reds & yellows done in marker & watercolor.

6) background, wet on wet, done in watercolor.

7) final details - re-ink with the brush pen adding black where it doesn't seem to be dark enough, highlights with gel-pen & final background details.

Supergirl

Hope Everyone had a great weekend!nOK...last one of this 10 card dc set that I did as a commission is supergirl. Another one done in watercolor & some copic markers. I'm going to post some progress pics of the cards as the customer had a request to see them. I don't usually do stuff like that, so I figured I'd just scan them all in as I went.

Just wouldn't feel right with out a joker in there somewhere, so here ya go. Joker sketch card commission. watercolor on watercolor card stock, also used a couple of markers & a gel pen.

Batgirl!

Another commission sketch card, as part of a set done for a client. this one is of batgirl. Done on 2.5 x3.5 watercolor stock, with watercolors & markers. more to come.

Victor Freeze! commission card for my buddy chad.

Another personal sketch card (PSC) for a client of mine to go along with the batman down below. This is a 2.5 x3.5 watercolor piece on watercolor paper of Dr. Freeze looking down at his little snow globe of his wife nora.Did a total of 10 batman related cards. Also used a couple of copic markers on this one, plus a gel pen.

Well, I may have posted this piece a while ago, but I thought I would post again, as it is the centerpiece of a batch of commissioned sketch cards I did for a awesome client of mine. He purchased this 9x12 watercolor piece from me & decided to have me do 10 sketch cards to accompany it, all based on DC characters & done in the same style. I will be posting the sketch cards depicting superman, supergirl,poison ivy, penguin, catwoman, mr. freeze, joker, harley quinn, two face, and batgirl, over the next week or so. On top of that he ordered two other pieces completely unrelated to these. Stay tuned, I'll start posting them tomorrow! Happy friday!
